Step 4: Lightly Sand the Contact Surfaces
Use medium-grit sandpaper to lightly roughen the center of each lid where the knob will be attached.
If the bottom of the decorative knob is glossy or extremely smooth, lightly sand that surface as well.Coatings & Adhesives
The goal is not to grind away large amounts of material.
You simply want to create a slightly textured surface that gives the adhesive more area to grip.
